Dorian Gray, no limits

This week we touch base with Act Three as they prepare to wow Wimbledon with their limitless version of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

It’s a timeless story, but Act Three have taken Oscar Wilde’s novel into entirely new territory with a theatrical explosion of music and movement.

Tickets are now on sale – but seats are limited, so if you want to experience this unique event, book yours today.

If you’re wondering just why this performance will be so special, here’s one of the cast members – who plays a character called LOL – to tell us more:

“Welcome to the Hurricane, a cabaret bar that acts as an asylum for struggling artists to release their creative vision…

In this unique version of Dorian Gray, we’re using the idea of a cabaret so we can re-tell the story with the inclusion of different performance styles including acting, movement, improvisation and song.

You can expect lots of live music and a few original songs that the company have expertly crafted – it all comes together to create a great ensemble experience.

The themes explored in our version of the story include addiction, lack of empathy, greed and the strength – and the persistence – of art.

It’s hard to define our show…but in the words of Oscar Wilde: ‘To define is to limit’.”

Experience Dorian Gray with a difference courtesy of Act Three on March 13 and 14 at New Wimbledon Theatre Studio.
