WCTT Young Actors Company is the biggest youth theatre in Merton and is completely free to attend!
YAC meet every Sunday in term time at New Wimbledon Theatre’s Time & Leisure Studio. YAC is open to all young people aged 11-19 who live or go to school in London Borough of Merton.
We will be running workshop auditions this September – if you would like to register for an audition email Katie.
WCTT Young Actors Company provide high quality acting training and theatre making experiences for young people, working with professional directors, designers and technicians.
Each YAC group produce at least one full scale professional theatre show a year. Past projects have included: working on classic texts from Shakespeare, Brecht & Marlowe to plays by contemporary writers & devising physical theatre; a large scale musical on New Wimbledon Theatre‘s main stage & taking part in National Theatre‘s Connections Festival.
YAC have also taken part in masterclasses from acclaimed theatre companies, Frantic Assembly & Trestle Theatre Co. and theatre skills workshops such as Stage Combat.
YAC aims to provide exciting, innovative and challenging theatre making experiences for young people who would not normally get the chance to be involved in the arts.
