The Young Actors Company at New Wimbledon Theatre is a performing arts organisation aimed at young people aged 11-19 who live or go to school in Merton and surrounding boroughs. We believe in providing a well-rounded and varied programme of activities that normally includes full productions in New Wimbledon Theatre Studio, informal arts sharing and opportunities to participate in WCTT’s community projects.
When talking about Young Actors Company our members often use the word family and we are committed to supporting our young people, not just as performers, but in all areas of their development. To that end, each group has 3 adults in the room to encourage and nurture their talents; a director, an assistant director and an alumni of our youth theatre participating in our mentoring scheme.
Young Actors Company offers the chance to:
